The 2020 Annual General Meeting of Myanmar Environmental Assessment Association (MEAA) has been successfully held
The MEAA’s 2020 AGM held on the morning of November 22 2020 through the virtual conferencing platform. MEAA announced that 68 members actively attended the meeting. Dr. Myint Oo, retired Rector from University of Forestry and Environmental Science chaired the AGM and the meeting was held according to the agendas.
U Zaw Nain Oo (MEAA Chairman), the Chairman of AGM and U Aung Nanda (Immediate Chairman of MEAA) addressed the opening and welcoming speeches accordingly. The General Secretary of MEAA presented briefly on the progresses and activities of association with last two-year period. After that, the financial statements of association and the proposals on the amendment of the MEAA constitution were approved with the agreements of AGM attendees.
After officially resignation of the Executive Committee Members of (2018-2020) period, AGM appointed the elected candidates as the members for Central Executive Committee and Executive Committee for (2020-2022) period in accordance with the agreement of attendees.
According to the agenda, the attendees discussed and suggested in concern with the progress affairs for the association. The Chairman and Vice-Chairman from MEAA gave feedback and rediscussed on their suggestions. Before closing the ceremony, the new Chairman, U Soe Myint delivered the address and the 2020 AGM was closed successfully.
